In an effort to raise money and public awareness for charity, Makespace is sponsoring "LiveArt”, a series of events that will feature artists creating their work in the middle of Louisville’s Fourth Street Live entertainment complex. The event was designed to "bring the studio to the street” and allow the public to get a firsthand view of how artists go about their creative process and produce their art. The monthly event, which will occur in coordination with the Downtown Trolley Hop, will feature painters, sculptors, and multi-media artists plying their trade and interacting with the public. The events will occur from 6 PM to midnight on the first Friday of each month starting June 1, and run until Nov 2nd. All work created during the events will be featured in an art show at a local gallery (T.B.A) and will be auctioned off on the opening night. All proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen For The Cure breast cancer research foundation. For more info call Mark Palmer at (502) 664-7951.
