What do you mean by “free”?
We mean F-R-E-E. Pro-Bono. Gratis. Really! The winner will receive a website valued up to $3500 and pay squat. Zilch!
What’s the catch?
No catch. But entries that don’t win will receive our newsletter once a month via email. It’s full of marketing and design tips -n-tricks. Oh, and we’ll probably contact you to sell you a website. After all, you know you need one, or you wouldn’t be entering in the first place.
What else happens with my contact info?
Not a thing. We hate spam more than you do and would rather sell vacuum cleaners door to door than share or sell your info with anyone. Ever!
Who decides the winner and what criteria will you use?
The winner will be decided by a panel of (so-called) experts in visual design:
• Robert Miles - VP/Creative Director, makespace! media & design lab
• David Brown - President, USA Print Broker
• Antz Wettig - Artist & Photographer, Wettig Photography
• Ryan Armbrust - Designer, Chucklenut T-Shirt Co.
These guys know crap when they see it, and they’ll base their decision on 3 areas:
• Visual Design
• Content
• Navigation
When will you select the winner?
We’ll accept entries until March 1st, 2008, which is National Crappy Website Day. Can’t wait that long? Contact us now. We’ll give you a 10% discount on your web site design and give your money back if you happen to win.
If I win, do I get to participate in the design process?
Absolutely not! You’ve already screwed up one website, so you’ll have to leave it up to us. You’ll accept your website and like it! We’ll listen to any suggestions, but will consider them just that: suggestions. After all, we’re the ones with “Web Designer” after our names.
