We know that to be effective, all businesses need some form of design.
Restaurants need menus, attorneys need letterhead, most businesses
need a website and all business cards. Duh, right? We also believe
that all functional graphic design is not fulfilling it’s
potential unless it does one more thing: branding.
Branding is much more than having a recognizable logo or slogan.
Proper branding should not only speak directly to your desired demographic,
it should set your business apart from your competition
and give you implied credibility. It should also
establish your company’s identity and present
your desired image to the world. Done properly, all these things
occur simultaneously.
Everything we do at makespace! is centered around providing businesses
a consistent, desirable and effective image. We know that to be
as successful as possible, most businesses need some form of advertising,
whether it be a grassroots “word-of-mouth” campaign
or a full-bore media blitz. To be truly effective, advertising should
do two fundamental things: Speak directly to customers who have
a need for your product or service RIGHT NOW, and make an impression
to stick in the minds of potential customers who may do business
with you in the future. Anytime your business spends money, it should
be an investment rather than an expense. Remember,
the only expensive ads are the ones that don’t work.
